Role overview
The Director of Recruitment will lead the company’s talent acquisition strategy, overseeing the growth and engagement of our freelance community and launching our dedicated recruitment department. This role is responsible for ensuring a dynamic, up-to-date talent database, fostering key partnerships, and delivering exceptional recruitment services for both external clients and internal needs. The Director will manage a team of recruiters, drive operational excellence, and uphold the highest standards of candidate and client experience.
Key responsibilities
Freelance Community & Talent Database
Develop and execute strategies to grow and engage our freelance talent community.
Source, attract, and retain top freelance candidates using diverse channels (job boards, social media, referrals, events, etc.).
Establish and maintain partnerships with universities, government agencies, and training institutions to build robust talent pipelines.
Oversee regular updates and refreshes of the talent database, ensuring data accuracy and quality.
Analyze talent market trends to anticipate business needs and opportunities for growth.
Saudi Talent Development & Vision 2030 Alignment
Prioritize the attraction, development, and placement of Saudi nationals in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
Design and implement programs to support Saudization initiatives and increase local talent participation in the workforce.
Champion diversity, inclusion, and the professional development of talent across all recruitment activities.
Recruitment Department Leadership
Launch and manage the recruitment department focused on events, hospitality, and F&B sectors.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of recruiters to deliver timely and high-quality recruitment solutions.
Design and implement recruitment processes, KPIs, and performance management systems.
Oversee the recruitment life cycle, from job briefing and sourcing to placement and onboarding.
Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and company policies.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as a primary point of contact for key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored recruitment solutions.
Build and sustain strong client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
Represent the company at industry events, career fairs, and networking functions.
Collaborate with internal teams to support internal hiring initiatives and promote a positive work culture.
Technology, Process & Reporting
Oversee the management and optimization of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other recruitment technologies.
Ensure accurate reporting and analytics on recruitment activity, effectiveness, Saudization, and talent pipeline health.
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline recruitment operations.
Requirements
Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in recruitment leadership, preferably within hospitality, events or high-growth service businesses.
Strong commercial mindset with experience building scalable recruitment operations and employer brand programmes.
Demonstrable success leading and developing recruitment teams, with excellent stakeholder management skills.
Confident using recruitment technology and analytics (ATS, CRM, sourcing tools and basic reporting) to drive decisions.
Deep knowledge of volume recruitment, contingent workforce management and temporary staffing models.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver to tight timelines in a fast-paced event-driven environment.
